Grand Opening of New Classroom

Opal House has just completed another 2000 sq foot classroom building with special funding by Mike’s Angels from Atlanta, Georgia (Mike’sAngels.org). This building will house our new first grade class this year and then second grade next year, mixing together in the Montessori curriculum.

We were blessed with 85 people in attendance for the grand opening on Mon Jan 29th 2015, including 5 representatives from Mike’s Angels and all the Opal House Workers! The clown entertained the children and we even had a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new classroom. We love our children and are committed to nurturing them to have great character and bless their own country.

Mary Anne Payne of Mike’s Angels of Atlanta stated that “watching Opal House grow has been so exciting and watching the children engage and learn so much over is quite impressive. Today was great and it was wonderful to see so many families present and how much Opal House has positively affected the community”

The aunt of Mike Marcucci, who Mike’s Angels is named in honor of said “you young children will grow up to be responsible citizens with better character, be more intelligent, and better serve your own country of Guatemala as well as improve the world too.”
